After the renaming of a progressive preschool-elementary school in Judkins Park, I designed and executed a sign with the school's new logo that incorporated ceramic portraits of every student, teacher, and staff on its front side. Although there is uniformity in the overall color, as one looks closer, each tile is unique and reflects the mission of the school "Educating Children to be Themselves."
The back of the sign was designed in a summer workshop alongside art teacher, Julie Trout. The students created characters that were fantasy collage hybrids that they then translated into mosaics.
